Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter as well as mixed martial artist competing at flyweight of UFC. She is older than fellow UFC Fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started out with her debut as an Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and then defeated Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina kept her winning streak going by getting bronze and silver medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, as well as a Gold medal in 2011 along with the title of year-end 2016 IFMA amateur world champion. In 2018, she left the contest and started participating in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina utilized superior strikes to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the fight. Antonina was offered the UFC invitation following her win. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut UFC at her debut at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the fight via unanimous decision but lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. Antonina bounced right back after the defeat and beat Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submissions in the 2nd round. This fight earned Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko was 2-2 over her next three bouts which included a win over Ariane Lipski, while falling to Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently lost to Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
